Description
Alpine Vista is a newly composed piece for string orchestra that is based on traditional Scottish music where a slow air is followed by a reel. The air evokes the sensation of climbing up into the high country of the rockies and experiencing the exhilaration, and at times, the melancholy, that is found there. The reel that follows, depicts the cascading water that flows in streams down from the high country passes.
